Prince William knows his nature’s crown isn’t the fullest. 

In fact, the Prince of Wales—whose hair loss journey has been a hot topic for well over a decade—cracked a joke about his balding mane during his recent outing at the Sporting Khalsa FC in Willenhall, a small town in England’s West Midlands.

“Look at your hair, it’s fantastic,” the 42-year-old said in a March 12 video posted to X, which sees him complimenting a fan’s vibrant red hair while greeting members of a crowd. William, dressed in a navy blue coat and black trousers, then poked fun at his own minimal haircut. “Wish I had hair like that. I know, I’ve not a chance.”

William’s hair was styled in his signature light comb over, a stark difference from his notable 2018 buzz cut. And while it seems the royal—who shares kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, with wife Kate Middleton—has slightly grown out his hair in the last seven years, his facial hair is receiving the same treatment. He’s still donning his infamous grey-peppered beard, which he first debuted last September, in this new clip.
