Alec Baldwin is past the apprentice stage.

The comedian—who portrayed President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live during his first presidential term from 2016 to 2020—said that First Lady Melania Trump loves his impression of the politician.

The Rust actor claimed he heard that former Trump press secretary Sean Spicer reveal Melania’s true feelings on his portrayal one year at the Emmys.

“Spicer—maybe he had a couple drinks, I don’t know, I wasn’t there—he says to the people at SNL,” Alec told the audience at a 92nd Street Y event on March 14, per Page Six, “‘Melania watches the show every Saturday night.'”

He added, of Spicer’s alleged words, “And she points at the TV and says, ‘That’s what he’s like! That is what he’s like! Exactly! Alec Baldwin is exactly like Donald!‘”

“We’re gagging laughing, but it made sense!” the 66-year-old said to the crowd. “She loves when they give it to him, you know what I mean?”
