Rosario Dawson has no bad blood with Cory Booker.
In fact, the Kids actress recently shared her excitement after her ex-boyfriend made history with his 25-hour and five-minute filibuster to the Senate, which broke the previous record set by Strom Thurmond in 1957.
“Go @corybooker!!!” Dawson wrote in an April 2 Instagram Story. “We’re so proud of you. Go sleep now. You did good. #GoodTrouble, that is!”
The 45-year-old went on to repost other photos that supported Booker—whom she split in 2022 after more than two years of dating.
“One thing about Cory’s speech is that it’s actually crisp and substantive and clear,” an X post Dawson reshared on Instagram read. “Not just killing time. Very, very impressive.”
Booker’s speech—in which the Democratic senator said that he believed the “country is in crisis” under the administration of President Donald Trump—began just before 7 p.m. on March 31 and concluded after 8 p.m. on April 1. He later explained that his goal was to outrun his own speech from 2016, when he spoke for 15 hours about gun violence with Senator Chris Murphy.
