Dia Mirza demands apology for Rhea Chakraborty as CBI closes Sushant’s death case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed for closure reports in two cases related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty have been given a clean chit as no proof of foul play was found. This comes after years of investigation, speculation and public debate over Sushant’s shocking death in 2020. Now, Dia Mirza is demanding an apology for Rhea.

Dia Mirza asks for a written apology from the media

Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau back in September 2020, alleging that they provided Sushant with drugs. After the CBI’s closure reports, Dia Mirza recalled how the public treated Rhea during the investigation. The actress took to Instagram Stories and wrote, “Who in the media will have the grace to put out a written apology to Rhea Chakraborty and her family? You went on a witch hunt. You caused deep anguish and harrasment just for TRP’s. Apologise. That’s the very least you can do. @rhea chakraborty.”

He further added, “Both Rhea’s Family and My Team & I were hounded and threatened of danger to our life. I must say nothing deterred us from carrying out our legal duties. Today I can share that I’m proud to have defended a Fauji Family Pro Bono and that should rest with the kind of speculative narration about my fees.”

On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence. While he was discovered hanging by the ceiling, the tragedy sparked public debates and widespread speculations. At present, the case is nearing its conclusion. The courts are yet to give a final ruling on the matter.
