Despite this, Shabana made it clear that Rekha’s charm and magnetic presence with her fans had always remained intact.

One memory Shabana couldn’t forget was a moment when they were on a flight together. A fan approached Rekha, asking for an autograph, and Rekha’s response was immediate, almost otherworldly. “I’m talking. Can you wait a bit?” she said, her face transforming into that of a distant star. Shabana, a little stunned by this shift, remembered thinking, “Oh! My God.” She found it fascinating how quickly Rekha could switch from being her usual self to embodying her star status in a heartbeat.

Despite this change in public persona, Shabana emphasised that Rekha has always remained warm and loving. Their bond is one of deep respect and understanding, and Rekha’s ability to balance her stardom with genuine affection for those around her is something that Shabana deeply admires.
