Hugh Grant was not actually loving a recent airport experience.
Indeed, the Notting Hill actor—dad to John, 12, Lulu, 9, and Blue, 6, with wife Anna Eberstein as well as Tabitha, 13, and Felix, 11, with ex Tinglan Hong—detailed an encounter with an immigration officer at London’s Heathrow Airport he deemed to be unsettling.
“Just came through Heathrow with wife and children,” Hugh wrote on X (formerly Twitter) April 4. “We all have the same last name (Grant) on our passports. Immigration officer engages my children in chit chat then whispers to them ‘Are these your Mum and Dad?’”
The 64-year-old then went on to deem this incident nothing less than “intrusive, insulting and creepy.”
E! News has reached out to the U.K.’s Home Office, who employs the Border Force officers, for comment but has not heard back.
After all, the Heretic star often opts to keep his kids out of the spotlight to avoid such situations. In fact, he only revealed the names of his youngest daughters, which were chosen out of a “bit of a panic,” last October.
