Interestingly, earlier reports by IANS had claimed that it was Saif’s elder son Ibrahim Ali Khan who helped transport his injured father to Lilavati Hospital. Ibrahim, 23, was said to have helped Saif into the auto-rickshaw after their car couldn’t be used due to the driver’s absence. However, the police chargesheet now suggests that Taimur, along with a staff member named Hari, was actually the one who accompanied Saif during the emergency. This discrepancy in reports highlights the confusion and urgency surrounding the incident in its immediate aftermath.

The chargesheet also includes Saif Ali Khan’s detailed account of the terrifying night. Saif recalled that after having dinner with his sons around 7:30 pm, he went to bed at 10 pm, and Kareena returned home by 1:30 am. Just an hour later, around 2 am, Jeh’s nanny came rushing to their bedroom, shouting that a man with a knife had entered the child’s room. Upon confronting the intruder, Saif engaged in a struggle with him, which led to the actor being stabbed multiple times—suffering injuries to his neck, back, hands, chest, and legs. The intruder also attacked the nanny when she attempted to intervene.

The assailant, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, was apprehended by the police a few days later and remains in custody. He has been accused of breaking into Saif’s residence with the intention to rob and subsequently attacking the actor and a staff member using a blade and a wooden weapon. The case has drawn significant public attention due to the celebrity status of the victim, and the bravery shown by Saif’s family members, especially young Taimur, has been widely acknowledged.
