The new home holds special significance for Ranbir’s family. The mansion, named Krishna Raj after his grandmother, was once the home of his grandparents, Raj and Krishna Raj Kapoor. The house was later inherited by Ranbir’s parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, in 1980, where they raised their children. In 2016, Rishi and Neetu decided to rebuild the property, and the current construction is part of that vision, blending family history with new beginnings.

The bungalow is said to have cost around ₹250 crore, with reports suggesting that once completed, the entire Kapoor family, including Neetu Kapoor, may move in together. Currently, Ranbir and Alia live with their daughter Raha in their home at Vastu.
