SS Rajamouli Is In Japan To Promote The Documentary RRR: Behind & Beyond

The team of SSMB 29 is presently on a break! Mahesh Babu left for Europe for a vacation with his family and Priyanka Chopra Jonas returned to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli and his son Karthikeya flew to Japan to promote the Netflix documentary RRR: Behind & Beyond, which was released in cinemas on Friday.

With the growing reception for Telugu films in Japanese markets, filmmakers are looking at the country as greener pastures. After Baahubali and RRR, director Nag Ashwin promoted Kalki 2898 AD in Japan. Recently Jr NTR and Koratala Siva promoted Devara there. The film has got off to a promising start. Rajamouli has now eyed Japan to push his Netflix documentary RRR: Behind & Beyond. Released on April 11, 2025, with Japanese subtitles, the documentary has been getting great response from its screenings. Rajamouli has been interacting with the media and the fans at the screenings and taking their feedback on the documentary.

Rajamouli in Japan To Promote The Documentary RRR

Speaking at one of the events Rajamouli stated he loves coming to Japan as audiences there love cinema. The filmmaker also said that he is looking forward to three upcoming big-ticket flicks in Tollywood: Ram Charan’s Peddi, Jr NTR’s film with Prashanth Neel (tentatively titled Dragon), and Prabhas’s film Spirit under director Sandeep Vanga. The task master also went on to laud the first glimpse of Ram Charan-starrer Peddi and praised the film’s director Buchi Babu Sana.
